How do you ensure consistent quality across the entire Energic Plus range?
As a TVH brand, Energic Plus is founded on the highest quality standards. We achieve this through a multi-point process that exercises strict control over quality and suppliers, and by continually upgrading our range. Firstly, we apply quality control during development and manufacturing to ensure the integrity of our components. Secondly, we work closely with our long-standing suppliers to redevelop products in response to changes in demand and market expectations, thereby optimising our product positioning. These procedures guarantee that Energic Plus products meet or exceed the quality standards of OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and OESs (Original Equipment Suppliers).
Furthermore, our dedicated TVH Electronics teams have the expertise to repair and remanufacture complex components, such as battery chargers, battery regenerators and dischargers. Having this technical capability in-house allows us to provide continuous feedback on product performance and reinforces accountability throughout the product lifecycle. It also enables us to deliver excellent customer care, even after the warranty period has expired.
What quality and compliance certifications do Energic Plus power solutions have?
All Energic Plus power solutions are compliant with critical market standards. For example, products covered by specific EU directives are accompanied by an EU Declaration of Conformity and bear the CE mark, confirming their compliance with EU safety, health, and environmental protection requirements. Similarly, products intended for the American market bear the UL mark. Specific product lines also come with detailed certification documentation to ensure compliance.
To uphold our commitment to quality, we have a dedicated quality team responsible for ensuring that every Energic Plus product meets the necessary quality and safety standards before it is sold.
Beyond standard certifications, what internal quality benchmarks must a product pass to earn the Energic Plus name?
All Energic Plus products must deliver consistent, high-quality performance that meets or exceeds OEM and OES standards, but at a more competitive price. This means that our products must demonstrate superior durability and efficiency when used in industrial environments, providing long-lasting solutions for reliable machine performance.
How are Energic Plus products tested for safety against common risks like overheating, overcharging, or short circuits?
Not only are all Energic Plus products tested for safety, but safety features are also integrated into the design. For instance, our battery chargers have a 3-way grounded plug for safety and electromagnetic compatibility. They are equipped with protection mechanisms such as auto-stop at voltage or capacity limits and display error messages for voltage issues. They also feature compensation for hot and cold seasons, which adjusts charging parameters according to temperature.
Are Energic Plus products tested for their ability to withstand tough warehouse conditions, including vibration, dust, and extreme temperatures?
Yes, our power solutions are designed for use in demanding industrial environments. For instance, we develop heavy-duty battery solutions for extreme conditions, utilising specialised technologies to ensure consistent machine performance. Additionally, the enclosures of our chargers (for example, the NG1/NG5 models) comply with specific ingress protection standards, such as the IP20 enclosure class.
What is the typical expected cycle life of an Energic Plus battery under normal industrial use?
The cycle life of batteries depends heavily on their technology. Our open lead-acid (monoblock) traction batteries typically have a cycle life of approximately 1,200 cycles at an 80% depth of discharge (DoD). In comparison, our maintenance-free AGM batteries have around 500 cycles at 80% DoD, and our gel batteries have around 700 cycles at 80% DoD.
However, the level of maintenance that batteries receive also plays a major role in optimising their cycle life. That’s why the Energic Plus range also includes battery regenerators and maintenance systems that significantly prolong service life by reversing sulfation, the main cause of capacity loss in lead-acid batteries.
Do Energic Plus chargers include technology that actively protects and extends the lifespan of the battery being charged?
Absolutely! Our chargers are designed to provide batteries with the most sophisticated care. Our conventional chargers feature built-in maintenance systems and auto-equalisation systems. Meanwhile, our high-frequency chargers offer selectable charging curves to prevent damage, maximise efficiency and extend the battery's overall cycle life.
How do you ensure the quality and reliability of your battery regenerators and dischargers?
The quality of our Energic Plus battery regenerators and dischargers is guaranteed by our proprietary technology and rigorous testing procedures. Our regenerators use a specialised technology involving high-frequency electrical pulsations to effectively reverse sulfation. The regenerator also acts as a sophisticated battery analyser with a complete load bank, enabling accurate testing and verification of the restored capacity. Our dischargers use controlled discharge and auto-stop limits to provide reliable and safe data for maintenance planning.
What makes the build quality of an Energic Plus jump starter superior for emergency situations?
Energic Plus jump starters are professional, heavy-duty devices built to last. Designed with robust materials and high-capacity components, they can reliably start any type of industrial vehicle, and guarantee performance in critical emergency situations. Our capacitor boosters work without a battery, making them lightweight with super-fast recharging and high performance.
How can Energic Plus offer power solutions at such competitive prices while maintaining high quality?
Customers don’t pay less for Energic Plus products because we compromise on quality, but rather because we offer a smarter, more efficient supply chain, supported by TVH’s global purchasing power and logistical scale. All of our suppliers have been carefully selected for their ability to deliver consistently high quality. Thanks to the strong relationships and agreements we have built with these suppliers, we can offer products of the same quality as OEM and OES items under strict quality control at a more reasonable price.
How does TVH's long-standing technical expertise in parts influence the design and quality of Energic Plus solutions?
Energic Plus embodies TVH's technical expertise, combining over 20 years of specialist experience in industrial power solutions with TVH's comprehensive battery knowledge and that of its subsidiaries. This expertise directly influences our design process:
- In-house feedback: Our TVH Electronics teams carry out complex repairs and remanufacturing of chargers and electronic devices. This means they can feed real-world performance data directly back into new product design.
- External feedback: Received both through our sales teams and directly from customers.
- Life cycle focus: Our core focus on battery lifetime management stems from our in-depth understanding of how to optimise and extend the use of industrial batteries.
What is the warranty for Energic Plus power solutions?
As with other TVH products, all Energic Plus power solutions have a one-year warranty from the date of invoice. All warranty information can be found in the TVH terms and conditions. However, we receive warranty claims on only 1% of the Energic Plus products that we sell, a clear sign of our commitment to consistent quality.
