Why Glassinter is the perfect fit for machine glass and accessories

12 February 2026

When an agricultural machine relies on a closed cabin to keep the operator safe and comfortable, it’s essential that the cabin glass is of the highest quality. Such precision glass is available through Glassinter, our brand of first-class glass. By adhering to strict OEM standards, we ensure that Glassinter glass fits perfectly and can accommodate any bonding method. However, machine glass is about more than just the windscreen. It’s just as important to have suitable accessories, available separately or in glass kits from Bepco.

Glass that fits with precision

With more than 40 years of experience, Glassinter has an in-depth understanding of the specific challenges faced in agriculture and other industries. To keep operators safe and ensure they always have a clear view, high-quality glass is essential. That’s why Glassinter uses cutting-edge technology to design precision glass that can withstand extreme temperatures, vibration, and impact.

Thanks to thorough testing, strict tolerances, collaboration with industry experts and compliance with global regulations (43R, DOT, CCC), our glass meets the most exacting original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards for fit, function and safety. In fact, Glassinter glass is identical to the original in every respect, ensuring we always have the perfectly compatible glass reference for off-road machines.

Accommodating all bonding methods

Since Glassinter glass is identical to OEM glass, it can be used with the bonding method specific to a given machine, whether it’s rubber gasket mounting, adhesive bonding, mechanical fastening or a clamping system.

Rubber gasket mounting

As the name suggests, this method involves holding the glass in place with a flexible rubber gasket. One side of the gasket clamps onto the frame, and the other clamps onto the windscreen. This creates a secure bond, effectively keeping the cabin free of water and dust. It also allows for some movement and flexibility, thereby reducing stress on the glass.

This bonding method is commonly used to create an effective seal in machines where windscreens often need to be replaced or repaired quickly and easily. When replacement is required, Glassinter is the perfect solution, as our glass provides the precise fit necessary for rubber gasket mounting. In addition, you can turn to Bepco for all the essential accessories, including seals, installation kits, and windscreen removers.

Adhesive bonding

With this type of bonding, the windscreen is fixed to the cabin using high-strength adhesives such as polyurethane or silicone sealants. The strong, permanent bond ensures operator safety and creates an excellent seal that reduces noise and prevents water and dust from entering the cabin, thereby increasing comfort.

Adhesive bonding creates a clean look with no visible mounting hardware. Silk screening contributes to this look by concealing all traces of the adhesive and windscreen components. Other advantages of silk screening include improved glue adhesion and protection against UV radiation, helping the adhesive last even longer. When required, Glassinter is equipped with high-quality silk screening for perfect compatibility. Through Bepco, you can order all the installation accessories you need for adhesive bonding, including the adhesives themselves and suction cups for easy windscreen removal.

Mechanical fastening

This bonding method involves securing the windscreen to the frame using bolts, screws, clamps or other mechanical fasteners. These fasteners provide secure mounting, even for large and heavy windows. This makes mechanical fastening especially suitable for applications that require maximum security, such as heavy-duty industrial equipment.

Another advantage of mechanical fastening is that windscreens secured in this way can be easily removed and replaced if necessary. Since Glassinter glass is identical to the original in every respect, you can be confident that all the drill holes for mechanical fastening will be in exactly the right place. All installation supplies, such as bolts and screws, can be ordered through Bepco.

Clamping systems

With clamping systems, the windscreen is held in place by a clamping mechanism that applies pressure to the edges of the glass or a hinged window. The glass is then ‘pulled’ against the overhead guard by a closing mechanism, ensuring a secure fit without the need for adhesives or mechanical fasteners. As this bonding method allows for quick installation and removal, it is often used in settings where windscreens need to be changed or adjusted frequently.

However, windscreens bonded in this way need to be precisely the right thickness in order to withstand both the pressure of the clamping mechanism and the vibrations that machines are subjected to. Thanks to thorough testing and strict tolerances, Glassinter glass consistently meets these thickness requirementsHinges and clamps to complete the installation are available from Bepco.
