The past, present and future of TotalSource

Although TotalSource only recently became Bepco’s product brand, it already has a long history as a brand of TVH, of which Bepco is a company. A contraction of the words ‘total’ and ‘source’, TotalSource reflects TVH’s goal of being the main source of parts for agricultural, construction, industrial and material handling equipment. It naturally took some time for TotalSource to evolve into the totally convincing brand it is today, but we have no intention of stopping now. While TotalSource already offers a compelling combination of quality, availability and price, there’s much more to come.

Steady growth

TotalSource originated in the US with SMH (System Material Handling), the forerunner of TVH Parts Co., the American branch of TVH. SMH established TotalSource in 1989 as its primary brand of parts and accessories for material handling equipment. Following SMH's merger with TVH in 2003, the brand experienced steady growth.

Firstly, there was growth in terms of reach. While TotalSource had previously been a North American brand, it gained immediate traction in Europe and then steadily expanded to the rest of the world. On the other hand, the TotalSource range expanded to encompass even more products and markets. As TVH expanded its range, TotalSource also started to include parts and accessories for agricultural, construction and industrial equipment, as well as parts for material handling equipment.

Totally convincing in quality, availability and price

With over 30 years of consistent growth behind it, TotalSource is TVH’s most important brand. Its catalogue of more than 46 million part numbers contains parts and accessories for all the industries in which TVH is active, including agriculture. Thanks to its extensive database of more than 50,000 equipment models from over 1,200 makes, TotalSource parts are suitable for both old and new models of agricultural, construction, industrial and material handling and equipment.

Quality is of the utmost importance for all parts in the TotalSource range, including engine parts, filters, hydraulic components, joysticks & electrical switches, steering parts, tyres & wheels, starters & alternators, and much more. Building on TVH’s commitment to quality, TotalSource parts must meet the required quality standards for form, fit, function, and, when applicable, appearance and durability. The goal is to match the performance of OEM parts. To this end, our quality teams rigorously test and check parts to ensure they meet our high quality standards before adding them to the TotalSource range.

Thus, TotalSource parts offer the same high level of quality and one-year warranty as OEM parts, but at a better price. This competitive pricing is made possible by our smarter, more efficient supply chain. We have built strong relationships and agreements with the suppliers we work with for TotalSource, and these suppliers have all been carefully selected because they can deliver consistent high quality.

The best is yet to come

Although TotalSource already offers the best combination of quality, availability and price, there is still room for growth. To keep developing, we will continue to analyse the market to identify the most important trends and subsequent requirements for parts and accessories. This will enable TotalSource to continue being the ‘total source’ of solutions for our customers’ needs.
