KEMP Hospice Fundraising off to a Flying Start in Bepco UK’s Big Year

23 January 2020

Staff at the global supplier of parts and accessories for tractors and agricultural machinery began fundraising just before Christmas with a tombola and raffle raising a fantastic £916 for the charity that support patients, families and carers who are living with life-limiting illness or going through bereavement. A further £200 was received from a generous anonymous donor bringing the total to £1,116; an amount that could help support a patient for 18 days in KEMP’s nurse-led Day Hospice.

Bepco staff, backed by the company are working with KEMP Hospice throughout 2020 on a series of fundraising activities as well as generously volunteering their time at the charity’s own events.  KEMP’s Head of Fundraising, Cathy Sloan, said, “We’re absolutely delighted to have been chosen to benefit in Bepco UK’s big year as they plan to open a new UK warehouse here in Kidderminster in 2020.  This will bring them closer to the heart of our community and we really look forward to working with a company that shares our values and commitment to the local area.”

Bepco’s new warehouse, located on Zortech Avenue – Kidderminster, has a surface area of 12,000 sq. m. with the capacity to expand to 17,000 sq. m. and will hold more than 70,000 replacement parts for agricultural machinery and forklift applications. A recruitment drive is already underway to appoint 50 additional personnel to the site in 2020.
